Which ticket to choose
The basic park entry ticket costs 200 TRY. This ticket is perfect if you only want to hike the 2-kilometer scenic trail through the pine forests, view the turquoise pools from the shore, and relax at the park's cafes.
If you want to experience the actual canyon gorge, you must pay extra for activities at the entrance. The most common mistake is buying only the basic ticket, not realizing that the most spectacular, narrow parts of the canyon are flooded and completely inaccessible on foot.
To see the hidden waterfall at the end, you need the body rafting package (around 1,325 TRY), which includes a wetsuit, helmet, life jacket, and water shoes.
* Basic Entry (200 TRY): Access to the national park, hiking trails, and picnic areas. * Canyon Boat Tour (around 1,060 TRY): A 300-meter guided boat ride into the canyon entrance, ideal for those who want to see the cliffs without swimming.
* Body Rafting (around 1,325 TRY): Full gear rental to swim and climb through the wet canyon to the waterfall. * Zipline Adventure (around 1,325 TRY): A high-flying ride 40 meters above the canyon floor.
Best time to visit
To beat the crowds and the heat, arrive right when the park opens at 09:00. Most tour buses from Antalya and Kemer arrive after 11:00, which quickly crowds the narrow canyon pathways and the rafting launch point.
For photographers, the best light is between 11:00 and 14:00 when the sun is directly overhead, illuminating the turquoise water between the steep cliffs. If you plan to go body rafting, the midday heat also makes the freezing mountain spring water (often around 10–15°C) feel much more refreshing.
Combos and discounts
You can save money by purchasing a combo package at the park ticket office instead of buying activities separately. The most popular option is the Body Rafting and Zipline combo, which costs around 2,385 TRY and covers both adventures.
Children under 6 enter the national park for free, though they cannot participate in ziplining or body rafting for safety reasons. Children aged 6 to 12 receive discounted entry and activity rates. Keep in mind that local transport packages booked online often bundle the entry fee with round-trip hotel transfers.
When it makes sense to book a tour
Booking an organized tour makes the most sense if you do not have a rental car. Göynük Canyon is located about 36 kilometers from Antalya, and reaching it via public transit requires taking a bus to Göynük town and then waiting for an hourly local minibus or paying for an expensive taxi.
An organized day tour costs around 1,600 to 2,100 TRY and includes hassle-free round-trip transfers directly from your hotel, park admission, and a guide to help you organize your gear. If you have your own vehicle, you can easily skip the tour, drive to the park entrance, and purchase your activity tickets directly at the gate.
ImportantBring your own non-slip water shoes if you have them. While the body rafting package includes rentals, wearing your own well-fitting water shoes will protect your feet much better on the slippery, underwater rocks.
